America's Vancouver Tri & Du | Saturday, Sept 6
September 3, 2008
Sunshine and warm weather is in store through the weekend, making Saturday a great day to participate in America's Vancouver Tri and Du. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned veteran, this is a great event to wind the season down. The well designed course includes swimming in Klineline Pond, biking on quiet country roads and running on the Salmon Creek Greenway path through some beautiful park wetlands. Aside from two steep but short hills on the bike route, this is a really flat and easy course to navigate.
Entry options include a tri and du with relays, intermediate level, sprint and 10k and 5k races. All competitors will receive a microbial moisture management shirt that wicks moisture away while keeping you cool while you compete. Finishers will also receive a special pint glass. There are plenty of prizes to be awarded during the post-race festivities so be sure to hang out and enjoy the afternoon in Salmon Creek park. Online registration is open until September 4, but you may also register at the event. For maps and more information, see their website.
